Blueprint Hakeem is a Cameroonian-born rapper from the North West Region. He grew up learning how to play the piano when he was 10 and fell in love with hip-hop music at 12, with Nas being his biggest influence, alongside a few others he will discover on his journeys like Lupe Fiasco, M.I Abaga, 50 Cent, and Kanye West.
Despite rapping throughout his high school and university days, it wasn’t until after he graduated from the University with a degree in Journalism that Blueprint Hakeem decided to pursue a career in rap music. He released his first 3 singles in 2012. One of which was followed with a video “Daddy Hate my swagger.” In 2013 he released “Ma Head D Hot” with a video too. Blueprint has over 20 singles as of date with 4 albums – Cold Like Alaska 2016, Excuse My English 2017, Disciple Music 2018, and SITATUNGA 2020. His Disciple Music album with producer Black Santa was nominated for best hip-hop album at the Urban Jamz 2017 awards.
